Mister Walker is an award winning restaurant and bar located on the banks of Western Australia’s iconic Swan River in South Perth. Having only launched in September 2015, Mister Walker were brand new to the WA dining scene and were eager to spread the word that a new entertainment venue had opened up in a pristine location for everyone to enjoy. Well Said joined the party from the opening day to develop, drive and deliver a comprehensive online marketing plan for this renowned South Perth establishment that flirts with the number spot for restaurants in South Perth.

About this project

The team at Mister Walker sought the services of Well Said to establish a digital marketing plan that would enable the restaurant to connect with their customers even when they aren’t physically inside the venue. Before opening their doors for business, Mister Walker needed a stage to be seen and heard by the people of Perth (and beyond). The team at Mister Walker recognised the importance of the online world and decided that social media would pilot all of their marketing content. Well Said established accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus and Instagram to add volume to the voice of Mister Walker and in the opening twelve months, Mister Walker had accumulated thousands of followers across these platforms. The return on investment (ROI) for Mister Walker’s social media strategy is measured by click through rates to the website, the number of bookings made online, website traffic and the growing community of customers who flock to their social pages for news, updates, promotions and shout outs.

Well Said not only managed the social media for Mister Walker, we crafted the copy for the website, the dining and drinks menu’s as well as various marketing collateral in the way of flyers and paraphernalia etc. Well Said also provided the maintenance for “mrwalker.com.au” by updating content, adding events and happenings to the ‘What’s On’ page, applying SEO tactics, installing the latest plug-ins, and ensuring the site runs smoothly and securely.

Another major aspect of online marketing, specific to the hospitality industry is listing with local directories such as Trip Advisor, Yelp and Zomato etc. Well Said acted as the restaurant by responding to reviews, providing feedback and interacting with customers from any and all online touch points. Trip Advisor currently has Mister Walker ranked number 2 for ‘best places to eat in South Perth’, which is a tremendous result considering the restaurant’s age.
